Lighting inverters

Amtecs is one of the main suppliers of lighting inverters to London Underground. Recently securing contracts for the complete overhaul of the Central line '92 stock. Amtecs are also under going trials on many other lines as well as Docklands light rail.

Amtecs can offer lighting inverters to power flourescent tubes for many other areas including buses, trams, and heavy rail.

Amtecs offers matching, guaranteed long life flourescent tubes (44,000 hrs).

Contactors

Amtecs supplies UK dc contactors for transport applications. These units are suitable for light and heavy duty rail projects.

Contactors can be supplied upto 1200A dc.

Third Rail products

Current collectors for rail vehicles operating on third rail systems. High speed current collection, extensive worldwide references for shoegear operating with metro trains.

LCD displays

Amtecs has worked closely with REW Acton to resupply London Underground Bakerloo line with new train number indicator displays. These LCD display with white LED back lighting have been designed by Amtecs they are completely interchangeable and out perform the existing units by up to 10 years.

Traction motors

Traction motors both ac and dc in various performance classes are available. Motors can be self-ventilating or force cooled. One and two motor drives per traction bogie available.

Blower Motors

Amtecs supplies Docklands Light railway with highly specialised DC blower motors. These motors are rated 750 vdc, 3400rpm and are used to cool the traction motors.

Voltage / Current relays

Overcurren/voltage relays with mechanical interlock upto 1200 vdc, 0.5 to 1200A.

Time relays

Multifunction relays for rail vehicles and trolley buses.

Heaters, air conditioning and ventilation

A selection of reliable systems are available for use for passenger comfort and ventilation in mass transit vehicles. Amtecs are also working with London Underground to re-engineer obsolete heater systems including passenger car, cab convection heaters, anti condensation heaters, and more.

Power inverters

BWSR & WBR resistors

Starting and braking resistors continuous spiral round, self-cooled.
